We ordered the regular and
the large pilsners for our wedding guests.
The large was used at the wedding reception
as a unique dessert – we put root
beer floats in it. The smaller ones were
used at the wedding for beer and other beverages.
We told all of our guests to help us clean
up by taking the glasses home as favors.
No one seemed to object.

My finace and I met about
a decade ago while we were working at the
state fair. The first gift he ever gave
me (we were in high school mind you) was
a bottle filled with sand of different colors.
For our wedding, we filled these pilsner
glasses with colorful sand and put a candle
at the top of each. We told everyone the
story and invited them to dump the sand
into a large glass vase on their way home.
They kept the glasses as wedding favors
and we kept the sand for a permanent candle
holder and reminder of how much we loved
each other on our wedding day. It was a
custom and personalized gift for everyone.
