Sending a Personalized Wedding Invitation Using an Engraved Wine Glass
Many people send
wedding invitations in flat, card-stock-style
envelopes. It does the job, but there’s
nothing exceedingly unique or special about
a paper invitation. A fancy way to dress up
your wedding invitation and set the stage for
an elegant wedding is to send a personalized
object instead, such as a wine glass. It’s
cheap, it’s easy and it’s unique.
Read below for some tips before sending your
personalized invite out.
First, craft a
personalized wine glass with the date and time
of your wedding, your names and the location.
Order enough glasses for everyone you’d
like to invite to your wedding, plus some (allow
for breakage room.)
Purchase a set
of sturdy boxes and protective crinkle paper.
Set the wine glass into a soft bed of the paper.
Along with your wine glass, you can place a
personalized paper invitation. It’s also
helpful to have instructions with the wine glass,
such as “bring this glass to our wedding
reception and share a drink with us.”
Of course, you will want to have extra personalized
wine glasses on hand at the wedding reception
in case anyone breaks the glass or forgets it.
Place more protective
paper around the wine glass on all sides and
close the lid of the box. Shake the box to ensure
that the wine glass is protected during shipping.
Securely tap around the edges of the box. Wrap
the box with sturdy decorative wrapping paper
and tape a personalized address card to the
outside of the box. (If two or more wine glasses
are going to the same address, you will have
to use a larger box and package each one securely
amongst the protective paper.) Take the boxes
to the post office and ship!
The
benefit of sending a personalized wine glass
invitation is that it’s not only exceedingly
unique and fancy, but even those loved ones
that couldn’t attend the wedding or reception
will receive a personalized piece of memorabilia.
A personalized invite such as this one is the
perfect way to set the stage for your special
day – and for the rest of your life with
your spouse.
