Using Your Personalized Champagne Flutes to Create a Champagne Fountain
Your wedding reception
is a unique, one-time-only event designed specifically
to honor you and your new spouse. You want your
wedding reception and all of the events surrounding
it to be special, original and personalized,
but also glamorous, high quality.
But how do you
create a personalized and classy wedding reception
on a budget? The answer can be easy: decorate
with an impressive fountain made from personalized
champagne flutes.
Below are some
tips and ideas for creating your personalized
champagne flute fountain.
Purchase a set
of 100 or more engraved champagne flutes, personalized
with your names, an image, a date or a saying.
You can even purchase multiple sets of champagne
flutes, each engraved with a different personalized
message.
Built a pyramid
using your personalized champagne flutes inside
a flat, water-containing bin. Most party planning
stores will have appropriate bins that you can
purchase. Position a fountain on the inside
of the pyramid base. (You can purchase a fountain
set from most party planning stores.)
Carefully stack
and arrange your champagne flutes around the
bin, being careful not to drop any. As you stack
the champagne flutes, make sure that they extend
high enough to cover the length of the hose,
but not so high that they overcome the length
of the hose. Decorate the bin using white tablecloths
and flowers to conceal the not-so-wedding like
sides.
When it’s
time to start the fountain, pour the champagne
from the top of the pyramid down to the base.
You will find that most of the champagne is
poured directly into the glasses. As the champagne
builds up, the bin beneath the glasses will
collect the liquid and circulate it through
the pump and out of the tip of the hose positioned
atop the glasses.
Guests can then
take the champagne flutes as unique and memorable
wedding favors. Depending on the type of fountain
and wedding reception you have created, it is
advised that guests wait until the end of the
evening before taking their champagne glasses.
If your guests take their glasses too soon,
you run the risks of: 1., having your champagne
flute fountain tower collapse, or 2., having
your guests walk around with very sticky champagne
glasses.
